LawTap Acceptable Use Community Policy
Thank you for using LawTap. LawTap is the one place to easily search for your preferred legal professional, book instantly with them online, share Your legal documents, see Your accounts, and pay Your invoices. Our platform is intended to be a place where our users, people seeking legal services and professionals that offer them, can interact. The content shared when reviewing or commenting about a lawyer or law firm using the Services should always be truthful and constructive and never threatening, abusive or glorify or promote violence towards any individual, or disclose any privileged or confidential information. This, in turn, helps create a positive experience for all users of LawTap.
Capitalised terms that are not otherwise defined here shall have the same meaning given to them in the applicable Terms of Use.

User Profiles
We require You to use your true identity when making a user profile on LawTap.
It is expressly prohibited for any user to make a false profile. This includes posting misleading, inaccurate, false or deceptive information about yourself, another user or any other individual, firm or company.
No user is permitted to use another User Account. It is therefore important to protect Your passwords from misuse. Where You know or suspect Your User Account has been compromised You should alert Us by email to support@lawtap.com.
General Users Guidelines
We trust You to use our Services responsibly. We reserve the right in Our sole discretion to determine whether any use of the Services or any User Content violates this LawTap Acceptable Use Community Policy. You agree that You will not, and will not cause anyone else, to misuse Our Services or to do any of the following in connection with Our Services:
- use the Services in any way that could damage the reputation, goodwill or other rights associated with Us or Our Affiliates’, or the Services;
- incorrectly state any licences, admissions to practice, restrictions on practice, qualifications, experience, awards and/or languages spoken;
- accept fictitious appointments in exchange for a positive review;
- use a secondary account to leave a Professional User or a LEAP User a review;
- partner with other users to leave a review where no real work was produced;
- use the Services in any way that would violate any Relevant Laws or third-party rights, including Intellectual Property Rights - for example: post or link to any content which is, or which promotes anything that is illegal; discriminatory (on any basis); obscene; pornographic; defamatory; false or deceptive; violates the rights of any individual or third; spam; chain letters; or considered harmful to third parties or would otherwise be considered objectionable;
- upload or link to any content that harasses, targets or otherwise shames, disparages, discriminates, intimidates or abuses a specific person, business or group of people;
- upload or link to any content that threatens, incites or promotes violence of any kind;
- permit any third party to use the Services who are not so authorised or a party to these Terms;
- link to or copy the Services in any way whatsoever;
- transfer, sub-licence, commercialise or on-sell the Services (or any derivative of the Services);
- use, modify or adapt the Services in any way that is contrary to these Terms or any Relevant Laws including, but not limited to, copying, caching, converting, reformatting, reverse engineering, de-compiling, disassembling or otherwise modifying the Services;
- remove any copyright or other proprietary notices from the Services;
- inhibit another person from using or accessing the Services;
- submit any viruses, codes, worms, defects, trojan-horses, malware, corrupt files or other similar software or programs that are destructive in nature and/or may damage the Services, or the operation of any computer hardware of software used in the provision of the Services;
- imply that you are affiliated with or endorsed by LawTap or any of Our Affiliates or otherwise attempt to hold yourself out as an employee, contractor, agent or provider to LawTap or any of Our Affiliates; or
- use the Services to advertise, solicit business or otherwise display information about a person or service not so authorised by these Terms.
Personal Information
You should always have regard to the Privacy Policy and use caution when giving out any Personal Information about yourself or others when using the Services. We do not control how that information may be used once uploaded to the Service.
