Intellectual property law covers the laws, regulations and rules that govern intellectual property (also known as IP). Intellectual property is the property of your mind or proprietary knowledge (for example, when you create a new product or design). Intellectual property protection relates to protecting intellectual property rights, such as copyright, trademarks, patents, domain names and plant breeder's rights.
